TenPuru follows Akagami Akemitsu, a teenager with an unfortunate tendency to get overly excited around attractive women, leading to embarrassing and awkward situations. Desperate to overcome this problem and find inner peace, he decides to leave his worldly life behind and become a Buddhist monk at a secluded mountain temple. However, his plans for a quiet, contemplative existence are immediately derailed when he discovers that the temple is actually home to six beautiful young women who are training there for various personal reasons. Now surrounded by the very temptation he sought to escape, Akemitsu must navigate his new life as a monk-in-training while dealing with the charming but chaotic residents of the temple.
