release dates of TV show White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

The White House Correspondents' Association Dinner is an annual televised event that brings together journalists, politicians, celebrities, and media personalities for an evening of speeches, comedy, and commentary on American politics and press freedom. Traditionally held in Washington, D.C., the dinner features a keynote comedic address that offers satirical takes on current events, the media, and political figures. The sitting president typically attends and delivers their own humorous remarks, engaging in self-deprecating humor while also ribbing the press corps. The event celebrates the relationship between the presidency and the free press, while raising funds for journalism scholarships. Beyond the entertainment, the dinner reinforces the critical role of independent journalism in American democracy. The 2017 edition marked a notable departure from tradition, as it was the first time in decades a sitting president chose not to attend, making it a particularly significant moment in the event's storied history.
